Tuition and Financial Aid
Wauwatosa Lutheran School is proud to be part of a community that supports each other emotionally, spiritually, and financially. Tuition prices are determined based on donations and the cost to deliver an excellent educational experience for your student. As a not-for-profit organization, it is our hope that every student who wants to be part of the Lancer Family has the opportunity to do so.
Tuition
At Wauwatosa Lutheran School, we believe that a high-quality education should be accessible to all families. The cost to educate each student is $11,750. We proudly offer a significant tuition grant to every family to bring the tuition down to $6,300* for 3K-4K and $4,650 for 5K-8th grade for the 25/26 school year. Abundant tuition assistance is available to ensure that cost is not a barrier. We offer a variety of tuition assistance options and are committed to working with families to make Wauwatosa Lutheran a viable choice.

Private School Choice Programs (WPCP & MPCP)
Wauwatosa Lutheran participates in the State of Wisconsin tuition assistance programs called Private School Choice Programs. These programs allow families who meet the household income requirements to have their tuition partially or fully funded by the state. Interested families must complete an online application through the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) and verify their current income level and residency. Wisconsin Tax Deduction
Beginning with the tax year 2014, the State of Wisconsin introduced legislation (Wis. Stat. § 71.05(6)(b)49) in which private school tuition payments paid on or after January 1, 2014, are eligible for an annual income tax deduction. Qualified taxpayers may potentially claim up to the deduction limit ($10,000 in 2023) for each dependent child in grades Kindergarten through 8th and up to the deduction limit ($10,000 in 2023) for each dependent child in grades 9th through 12th. Tuition claimed must be paid in the tax year in which it is being filed.
For more information on how to claim these expenses, see the FAQs at WI.gov. In preparing the form I-094 Schedule PS, taxpayers will need our FEIN which is 39-0889672, as well as the amount of tuition paid last year.
